A Psalm from Anonymous – April 24, 2021

Statement of Faith

We believe that God created man and that He created them male and female. As such He created them different so as to complement and complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. Therefore, we perform and mentor marriages in accordance with Biblical guidelines. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; John 4:16-18; Romans 1:18-32; 1 Corinthians 5:11, 6:9-11. 6:18-20, 7:1-3 and 7:8-9; Galatians 5:19-21; Ephesians 5:3-7; 1 Timothy 1:9-11)

A Psalm to the Lord

By Anonymous

You, Lord, You are the One
You are the Lifter of my head
When shame overwhelms me,
When the tears flow and I feel that I am bad.
You, Lord, are the comforter
When my losses bring the grief to the surface
The loss of marriage and family, of home and security, the slow losing of my mom as her memory fades,
As my tears flow, You are with me
You comfort my heart by Your Presence and the comfort of others who have walked this road and healed.
You, Lord, are my provider
When the budget is tight but there’s continually enough
You, Lord, are my protector
When I feel judged for my actions, my choices
When I feel unsafe in this lonely world.
You, Lord, are my husband
When I feel unloved and unlovely
You show me how immense, committed and unfailing Your love is.
You wrap me in Your arms
Sometimes the arms of Your Word
Sometimes the arms of a caring friend
Who hugs until I can breathe deeply again.
It’s You, Lord.
It’s all You.
So I praise with all my unending, stumbling, faulty, broken but wholehearted love.
I am Yours and You are Mine.
