A Psalm and Testimony by Jennifer Day – April 24, 2021

Statement of Faith

We believe that God created man and that He created them male and female. As such He created them different so as to complement and complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. Therefore, we perform and mentor marriages in accordance with Biblical guidelines. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; John 4:16-18; Romans 1:18-32; 1 Corinthians 5:11, 6:9-11. 6:18-20, 7:1-3 and 7:8-9; Galatians 5:19-21; Ephesians 5:3-7; 1 Timothy 1:9-11)

A Testimony and Psalm: My God is Everything to Me

By Jennifer Day

Believers Church has helped me experience God and come to know Him in a whole new way. Before I started coming to BC I was in a really low place. I had isolated myself, was depressed and the only thing that kept me from committing suicide was my daughters would have no place safe to go. And it was still a battle everyday to remind myself of that. When I started coming in January/February everyone was so nice, friendly and real. It wasn’t like any other church I had been to before. I quickly found out about Celebrate Recovery from the emails that get sent out and started attending. I was able to be free and open and truly begin my healing process. I then attended the Forgiveness Bible Study and after that Life Transformation School. My life has been completely turned around. I no longer wake up wishing I hadn’t, but I wake up thanking God for another opportunity. I am no longer afraid to admit where I am struggling and ask for prayer because there are so many here that are so transparent and welcoming and make you feel truly loved and supported. I am still working on a lot, but in just a few months God has changed my life so much and I have experienced the true love of God, the ministries here have helped me begin to forgive and let go, have helped me find who I am in Christ. I know that it is God who has changed me, but it was BC that has the miniseries and people in place to help along the way. Real people that do not judge, yet encourage and support each other.

As to praying the Psalms, that has really helped me. I have began personalizing the Psalms in my prayers – incorporating them into affirmations and it is helping me to remember that God is my healer, my deliverer, my Savior, my Protector, my Father and my friend.

My Psalm: My God is Everything to Me

When I thought I had no way out, He made a way
My God is everything to me
When I thought I couldn’t make it, He was there to carry me
My God is everything to me
When I felt like I was all alone, He was right beside me
My God is everything to me
When I was lost in my ways in the world, buried deep in sin, He came to save me
My God is everything to me
When I fell down and couldn’t get back up, He picked me right back up
My God is everything to me
When I was depressed and ready to give up, He lifted my head up high
My God is everything to me
When I was overwhelmed by fear, He took it all the way and gave me confidence
My God is everything to me
When I was weak He gave me strength
My God is everything to me
When I couldn’t speak up for myself, He spoke up for me
My God is everything to me
When I wanted to run and not look back, He called me by name and welcomed me with open arms
My God is everything to me
