OCC Movie Night + Packing Party

Statement of Faith

We believe that God created man and that He created them male and female. As such He created them different so as to complement and complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. Therefore, we perform and mentor marriages in accordance with Biblical guidelines. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; John 4:16-18; Romans 1:18-32; 1 Corinthians 5:11, 6:9-11. 6:18-20, 7:1-3 and 7:8-9; Galatians 5:19-21; Ephesians 5:3-7; 1 Timothy 1:9-11)

Suggestions for How to Pack a Box

  • Find a shoebox or get one from the OCC table on Sunday morning.
  • Decide if you want to pack for a boy or girl.
  • Put your box where you’ll see it every day. Begin to pray over your box. If you have kids, use your box as a devotional opportunity. Talk about how this box will bless another child. Ask your kids if God is speaking to them about the child who will receive the box.
  • Click here for an Official Shoebox Suggestion List from OCC or watch this video. You do NOT have to pack your box before Packing Party except for the “WOW!” item. It’s amazing how many unused items we can find when we look around the house. Search for things you might want to include in your box
  • Purchases the “WOW” item for your box. This is the main item for your box.
  • Bring your box/WOW item to the Movie Night on Nov. 15 or the Packing Party on Nov. 17.
