Wayne McArthur Memorial

Statement of Faith

We believe that God created man and that He created them male and female. As such He created them different so as to complement and complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. Therefore, we perform and mentor marriages in accordance with Biblical guidelines. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; John 4:16-18; Romans 1:18-32; 1 Corinthians 5:11, 6:9-11. 6:18-20, 7:1-3 and 7:8-9; Galatians 5:19-21; Ephesians 5:3-7; 1 Timothy 1:9-11)

In Loving Memory:
Wayne McArthur 1933 – 2020

This past Monday our beloved Wayne McArthur passed peacefully into eternity at the age of 86. Wayne and Carol have been a part of Believers Church for over 20 years. Before coming to BC, Wayne was a pastor and church planter with the Methodist church. Wayne served as part of our first elder board and was one of our most faithful and Jesus-like servants. Wayne and Carol could be found on any given Sunday in our lobby greeting and helping newcomers find their way (and even taking them to lunch afterwards!). They are avid champions of missions and outreach around the world. Most importantly, Wayne was an authentic lover of Jesus who helped lay the foundation for what BC is today.

There will be an online memorial honoring Wayne’s life at 2 pm this Saturday. You can watch the live memorial on our Facebook page. If you’d love to show Carol your love and support, join us in a drive-by parade at 4 pm on Saturday, April 18 where you can drop off flowers, cards, and gifts to help cover medical and funeral expenses. You can also give via Believers Church.

To be part of the drive by, meet in the parking lot at Ted’s Escondido on 71st East of 129th at 3:50 pm on Saturday. If you can’t make that time and want to drop by a gift or card then feel free to do so anytime that day. Their address is 3101 W Oakland Circle, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
