BC Kids has adapted this 6-month curriculum, created by Group Publishing, for parents and small groups to help kids grow in relationship to Jesus as they discover what the Bible reveals about who God is (Quarter 1) and who God says we are (Quarter 2). Using the Curriculum
A Quick Note
You can adapt any lesson to your family rhythm or small group schedule! Each lesson has a Core Bible Discovery section with additional “Activity Blocks” that enhance and reinforce the story and main Bible Point! Lessons can span weeks or one sit-down (20 minutes to 1.5 hours!).
Opening Page
The opening page of every lesson gives helpful ways you as a parent or leader can dig-in to the lesson and prep, including an overview of the Bible story, main Bible Point, prayer prompt and tips.
Lesson At-a-Glance
Section two of the lesson plan gives you a quick fly-over of each of the sections of the lesson (or Activity Block). This also includes supply lists and links to teaching or worship videos for easy accessibility.
Activity Blocks
The final pages of the lesson plan contain all the details of each section of the lesson – also called Activity Blocks. The most important Activity Block is Core Bible Discovery. Because of the way this curriculum is intentionally designed, all other Activity Blocks supplement Core Bible Discovery and can be moved around, used, or not used depending on how much time or resources you have. Use the Activity Blocks slider to get a quick definition of each Activity Block that BC Kids built into these At-Home or Small Group lesson plans.
